Foodie Friday-Smoked Salmon Spread

IMG_0743 Hey hey! Happy Friday! 🙂 Weekends are the time to relax, unwind, and enjoy delicious food and drinks with friends. However, sometimes at the end of the week…I am just too drained to even fathom the thought of cooking some elaborate dish. That is one of the reasons I love quick and easy appetizers. A little something something to start the weekend in style, and a snack to go along with the first (of many) glasses of wine you may or may not have throughout the weekend. That is why I love this smoked salmon spread…it takes about 10 min (max to prepare), is light, flavourful and tasty, is perfect for that last minute creation for your weekend potluck, and can double as a Saturday brunch topping for your morning bagel! 🙂

For this recipe you need:

1 stick of cream cheese (softened)

½ cup of sour cream fresh dill to taste ( you can also use dried dill, but I prefer fresh)

Juice from half a lemon squeezed

1 tsp horseradish

1 Tbsp Finely chopped green onions

Salt & Pepper to taste

4 oz. Smoked Salmon (finely chopped)

So all you do is mix the ingredients together…you may use an electric mixer if you prefer a smoother consistency)…but I prefer mine a bit thicker so I generally stir everything together with a spoon. Garnish with a bit of fresh dill. And there you go! A quick and easy dip that doesn’t look too bad either! Served with fresh veggies, crackers, on a bagel, etc.
